GSK Science in the Summer: Be a Chemist (Monday Session for 2nd and 3rd Graders)

Kids are invited to be a chemist at home this fall! Sponsored by GSK and offered in partnership with the Alameda County Library and the Lawrence Hall of Science, GSK Science in the Summer is a fun and free science education program for students in second through sixth grades. Students will play the role of chemists to discover how substances change and interact with each other and the importance of chemistry in many fields, such as medicine, art, and conservation.

This program will take place in two parts: a home activity, and a virtual live program with another hands-on activity.

Two sessions (11/9, 11/13) are offered for 2nd and 3rd graders to accommodate more students. Registration is required and starts on October 19 at 7 pm. Please register for ONE SESSION ONLY. Duplicate registrations will be automatically deleted.

  • Step Two: pick up the program kit on October 31, 2020, only confirmed registrants will receive a program kit.
