Introduction to Home Match
Home Match is a shared housing program managed by the non-profit organization Covia.
Home Match currently operates in Alameda County in the cities of Fremont, Newark, and Union City.
This program is for homeowners wanting to rent out a room, renters looking for a roommate, and for individuals looking to rent a bedroom. Among other free services, Covia provides a free background check on homeowners and renters and works to match people based on a variety of compatibility factors.
Covia has successfully placed over 200 renters in the Tri-City area since the program started.
During this program, Home Match staff will explain the entire process. This introduction session will repeat at 1 pm on the 3rd Tuesday each month, including October 20, November 17, and December 15.
