What's Your American Dream? Conversations with author Malaka Gharib

Join us as we talk with author Malaka Gharib about her experiences growing up Filipino-Egyptian-American. 

Malaka's mother is from the Philippines and her father is from Egypt.  Last year Malaka published her zine-style memoir I Was Their American Dream about growing up in southern California and Egypt.  

Malaka currently works as Deputy Editor and Digital Strategist for National Public Radio for NPR's Goats and Soda reporting team, focusing on global health and development.
