What's Cooking with the Library?
Are you wondering what to do with the mystery spices that appeared in your pantry? Looking for new recipes and cookbook recommendations? Want to talk to others about cooking? We have the program for you!
During What’s Cooking with the Library, we’ll talk about different aspects of cooking like pantry basics, ways to substitute those harder to find ingredients, and even cook simple recipes on-stream (we’ll let you know what the ingredients are ahead of time so you can cook with us!).
This week, we’re going to cook something tasty! We're going to prepare a cheesy one-pot pasta!

Cheesy One-Pot Pasta
- 1 LB Pasta
- 1 red pepper
- 1 yellow pepper
- 1 cup frozen corn
- 1 red onion
- 1 lime
- 1 green onion stalk
- 1 packet taco seasoning OR:
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can black beans (drained and rinsed)
- 1 cup shredded cheese of choice
- 4.5 cups water
