Wearables 1.0: LED Wrist Band

Wearables 1.0: LED Wrist Band

Sew an LED wrist band with conductive thread and flashing LEDs. Get creative and add LEDs to your clothes and accessories (hat, apron, etc.).

Are you 11 to 18 years old and fascinating by making things? If so, register now to attend a special week long class on circuitry, LEDS, and electronics. Taught by Kristin Berbawy of Berbawy Makers, this program will teach you the fundamentals of circuitry by using batteries, LEDs, and conductive thread to create a wristband or bracelet that will light up.

Live Zoom sessions will be held Monday through Friday with makerspace experts who will answer your questions, demonstrate how to make the circuits, and give you tips on how to take the program to the next level. On Friday you’ll have a chance to showcase your work to the group.

Registrants will be contacted with information on how to pick up a kit containing all the material you need from their local Alameda County Library. Space is limited so register today.
