Hydrology and Pesticides: a Seminar from the Alameda County Master Gardeners
The Alameda County Master Gardeners will host this presentation by Dr. Samuel Sandoval, Associate Professor at UC Davis and Cooperative Extension Specialist in Water Resources with UC Agriculture and Natural Resources.
He will discuss:
• General knowledge of Hydrology as it pertains to California: CA Climate, CA droughts and effect of climate change, seasonal water cycles, and sustainable ground water management.
• Pesticides in our water system: Best management practices, Integrated Pest Management, and surface runoff.
• Irrigation: Evaluation, monitoring, correcting.
We hope you that will come to learn more about the properties, distribution, and circulation of water on/below the earth's surface and in the atmosphere. This seminar is designed to provide a better understanding of the overall water situation and challenges in California.
