Introduction to Unconscious Bias

Introduction to Unconscious Bias

Implicit bias? Intersectionality? Racial Signaling? These are terms we hear more about as our society continues to grapple with racism and its impacts on our society. In this educational workshop, you can actively investigate these concepts and more.

Our goal is to give the Castro Valley community an opportunity to understand how we form attitudes and stereotypes that affect our interactions with others.

Presented by Deb Sica, Deputy County Librarian and founder of the Library’s Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion group.

This program is part of Castro Valley Reads 2020. We're reading Bluebird, Bluebird by Attica Locke.
Castro Valley Reads is generously funded by the Friends of the Castro Valley Library.
