Engineering for the Family: Can you handle the load?
How do these skyscrapers and bridges handle so much load? Have you heard of lie load and dead load? Dead load is the weight of the building and materials used to build it. Live load is the weight with all the people that move in and out of it. Join us to create your own sturdy structures and test it!
This program is for children 5 and up and their parents, presented by Mrs. Thomas, Engineering teacher from BASIS Independent School in Fremont.
Supplies and space are limited. Tickets are handed out at the Children’s Area starting 15 minutes before program starts. Due to the high demand, we recommend that you arrive early and line up for tickets. Tickets are not guaranteed.
