Lawn to Garden Hands-On Workshop
Ready to save water this summer with a low-water use garden?
Come join us for a hands-on sheet mulching workshop, a popular non-toxic weed control method, used to convert your lawn into a thriving garden!
Participants will work with sheet mulch guru Lori Caldwell to learn the step-by-step process and receive expert guidance on this effective lawn conversion method. Participants will practice this technique by converting a library bed into a ready to plant garden. An EMBUD representative will also provide information on EBMUD's Lawn Conversion Rebate Program.
The event will take place rain or shine, barring a strong storm.
What to Bring: snacks, water, sun hat, gloves, closed-toed shoes, long pants, layers and sunscreen.
