Summer Reading Volunteer Orientation

Summer Reading Volunteer Orientation

Are you going into 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in the fall? Would you like to volunteer at the library this summer? Consider becoming a Summer Reading Game volunteer! Attend this orientation session to learn all about it.

Summer Reading Game volunteers (you might know them as Kid Power volunteers) help families understand the rules of the Summer Reading Game by handing out gameboards, talking to kids, and (the very best part) helping kids spin the wheel to advance along their gameboard and earn prizes. Everyone who volunteers at least 8 hours this summer is eligible for a reward at the end of the summer!

Summer Reading Game volunteers must attend one of the two orientation sessions in order to volunteer:

- Wednesday, May 29th, from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm OR

- Saturday, June 8th, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Please register to attend and pick up your volunteer application at the library.
