Brown Bag Speakers Forum: Adding Beautiful California Natives to Your Garden: with Alameda County Master Gardener Birgitt Evans

Brown Bag Speakers Forum: Adding Beautiful California Natives to Your Garden: with Alameda County Master Gardener Birgitt Evans

October, just as the rains begin, is the perfect time to spruce up your garden with some new plants! And California natives are the perfect plants to add. They are beautiful, drought tolerant, low maintenance and will thrive in our summer-dry climate. Alameda County Master Gardener Birgitt Evans will share information on the benefits of California native plants and how to grow them. We will explore plants suitable for many different areas from dry shade to hot hillsides and which bloom in different seasons, providing visual interest - as well as food for native pollinators - almost year round And, of course, bring your gardening questions!
