Brown Bag Speakers: Mountain Species Respond to Climate Change
We are pleased to announce the return of our monthly speaker series in partnership with the Albany Y, and the Friends of the Albany Library!
Connie Millar is a Senior Scientist with the USDA Forest Service, Pacific Southwest Research Station, in Albany, California. Connie is recognized for her leadership in developing climate-adaptation strategies and tools for management of western public lands. Her research team addresses a wide range of issues related to mountain environments and climate, with focus on response of subalpine forests, montane mammals, and periglacial environments to historic and ongoing climate change in Great Basin ecosystems. She divides her time between Albany (winter) and the summer field season in the eastern Sierra Nevada/Great Basin.
