LEAF Garden Science: Mulching

LEAF Garden Science: Mulching

Join us for the first ever garden science workshop for kids! For this first activity, we will discuss mulching and how it benefits a garden. Kids will also don working gloves and help gather the leaves and twigs from the outdoor space behind the library, then learn how to lay it to prepare the soil for planting.

The Centerville Library is teaming up with LEAF (Local Ecology and Agriculture Fremont) to create a gardening space for young kids, teens, and adults to participate in growing a sustainable garden and learning about the science of gardening. We hope you will join us as we embark on our long-term mission to bring gardening back to the local level.

Light rain will not cancel event.

For kids ages 7+. Space is limited, tickets will be handed out 15 minutes before the program starts.
