Castro Valley Reads Kick Off

Castro Valley Reads Kick Off

Join us to kick off Castro Valley Reads, a program that celebrates literature and builds community by asking all of you to read and discuss the same book.

The 2019 selection is A Backpack, A Bear, and Eight Crates of Vodka, a moving memoir by Lev Golinkin about a family’s journey to America and a boy’s search for self-acceptance.

At the Kick Off you’ll:

--Learn more about the book and the Castro Valley Reads program

--Hear a dramatic reading

--Sign up for a discussion group and get a free copy of the book
